Privacy policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Your labels stay in your browser. LabelLime processes label files locally. Feedback is optional and is sent through Formspree. Donations are optional and are handled on PayPal.

Who this policy covers

This policy covers the LabelLime web app/PWA and Chrome extension, maintained by thewavyblue. LabelLime is currently a working product name. For privacy questions contact thewavyblue@gmail.com. No LabelLime account is required.

Label files and marketplace imports

LabelLime reads PDF, JPG and PNG files you choose to upload or import. These can contain names, postal addresses, tracking numbers and barcodes. Labels are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to the developer, Formspree or an analytics service.

The Chrome extension can offer import controls on supported eBay, Etsy and Vinted pages. When you request an import it can retrieve the selected label using your existing marketplace session. LabelLime does not ask for or extract marketplace passwords or authentication cookies and does not collect general browsing history.

Local storage and retention

  • Current layouts: label images and positions are held in the open editor and are not uploaded to a LabelLime server.
  • Settings: custom templates, selected templates, label stock, preferences and remembered unavailable spaces are stored locally in your browser profile.
  • Temporary extension imports: queued files are held in an extension-owned browser database and removed after processing. Entries older than 30 minutes are discarded when the queue is next accessed.

Clearing site data or uninstalling the extension/PWA may remove locally stored settings. Files saved separately remain on your device.

Feedback and feature requests

If you submit feedback, LabelLime sends the feedback category, title, message, app/extension version and any optional name or reply email to Formspree over HTTPS. Label files are never attached automatically. Formspree may process connection information such as IP address and browser information. See the Formspree privacy policy.

Optional donations

The extension's “Buy me a coffee” link opens PayPal. LabelLime does not collect card details or PayPal login credentials. See the PayPal privacy statement.

How information is used and shared

LabelLime does not include advertising trackers, sell personal information, or use label contents or browsing information for advertising. Feedback is shared with Formspree and the developer's email provider; optional payments are handled by PayPal.

Optional website analytics and cookies

Only if you select Accept analytics, this website/PWA loads Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) to measure page visits, app opens, extension-link clicks, label import and processing counts, PDF exports, feedback outcomes and technical error categories. We do not send label contents, filenames, postal addresses, feedback text, contact details, custom template names, query strings or fragments in our custom events. Google receives connection information including your IP address and browser/device information and processes it to provide analytics; data may be processed outside the UK, including in the US. See Google’s privacy policy.

Analytics is optional and off until you opt in. Accept and Reject are equally available; either choice leaves the app usable. The necessary local preference labellime.analyticsConsent.v1 remembers your choice for 180 days. Google’s _ga and _ga_YL7LKFBYKB cookies distinguish visits and sessions; we configure a fixed maximum lifetime of 180 days. Actual server-side event retention is controlled in the GA4 property. Analytics consent applies to this website/PWA only; the Chrome extension does not load this tag.

Use Cookie settings on any page to change your choice or withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops analytics, removes accessible first-party GA cookies and reloads the page to unload Google’s script. This does not delete data already received by Google; contact us about privacy requests. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice lasts for the current page only.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can edit and print labels without submitting feedback or donating. Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, and receive a portable copy where applicable. Contact thewavyblue@gmail.com. In the UK you may also contact the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when LabelLime's features or data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
