Shipping label printing guide

Reuse a partially used label sheet instead of throwing it away

LabelLime treats the physical sheet beside your printer as something worth remembering. Mark the labels that are gone, then keep filling the positions that remain.

Mark unavailable spaces

Tap a numbered label position and mark it unavailable if that physical label has already been printed, peeled or damaged. The space guide is visible on screen but never prints.

Remember the current sheet

Enable remembered positions and LabelLime stores the unavailable spaces locally for that template. When you return later, the same part-used sheet can continue from where you left it.

Track full sheets separately

Label stock remembers how many unused full sheets you have as well as the state of a partial sheet. That avoids treating a sheet with one label left as if it were a brand-new sheet.

Confirm before stock changes

After printing, LabelLime asks whether the job succeeded. If the browser print dialog was cancelled or only part of the batch printed, skip the update and reconcile the physical sheet manually.

For printer safety, only reuse flat, undamaged sheets with no exposed adhesive or lifting edges and follow the printer manufacturer’s instructions.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Will the used-space markings print?

No. Numbered spaces and unavailable-space guides are editor aids and are removed from print/PDF output.

Does LabelLime know automatically whether printing succeeded?

No. Browsers do not reliably report physical printer success, so LabelLime asks you to confirm before updating remembered stock.
